About the Role

ZITADEL is seeking a visionary US-based Solution Engineer market to spearhead our growth in the identity and access management space. You will be a key technical expert, leading our go-to-market efforts and designing secure, scalable solutions that revolutionize how organizations manage and protect their digital identities.

Your expertise will be essential in guiding customers from initial consultation to successful implementation, ensuring their seamless transition to ZITADEL. Collaborating closely with our sales and engineering team, you'll be the technical authority behind our most strategic deals. Your role is crucial in understanding customer requirements, formulating winning strategies, and demonstrating the unique value of ZITADEL through compelling presentations and customized Proof of Concepts. From agile startups to large enterprises, you'll be the trusted advisor that organizations rely on for cutting-edge identity and access management solutions.

You Will

Main Tasks

  • Advise prospects and customers on architectures, patterns, and strategies for making the best use of ZITADEL
  • Creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to customers
  • Aligning to support sales with activities such as technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentation, sizing, and documentation of technical decision criteria; working across a number of opportunities in parallel

Additional Tasks

  • Articulating the business value of our products and services
  • Conducting and lead technical remote workshops
  • Translating technical concepts and patterns into business benefits
  • Create blueprints and other technical education materials for sales and marketing
  • Collecting feedback to relay back to the product and engineering team
  • Collaborate across engineering, marketing, and sales teams
  • Demonstrate resilience and sound judgment in dealing with business challenges
  • Proactively seek opportunities to support and mentor other pre-sales team members and share standard methodologies

You Have

  • Work experience in startups; any additional experience in larger companies is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Pre-sales experience with enterprise software, ideally open-source software
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud providers, architecting and deploying applications in cloud environments
  • Experience with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture
  • Solid understanding and ability to code in two or more modern programming languages
  • Experience with scalable cloud-native applications is preferred
  • Up to date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred
  • Experience in creating and presenting compelling business cases
  • Passion for cyber security or identity management
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to derive and align outcomes from company goals and objectives
  • Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan

For this role, you must be located in U.S. timezones.

The annual anticipated compensation range for U.S. candidates for this role is $90,000 - $150,000. Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on different factors, such as qualifications, location, experience, or competencies. Compensation is one component of ZITADEL's total reward package, which can include stock options, commissions, health insurance, funds towards home office and professional development, and more. In order to provide greater transparency all salaries are accessible to all employees.

ZITADEL was founded in 2019 in Switzerland. Hundreds of customers rely on ZITADEL everyday as their identity platform. Our team consists of 11 people with most of our engineering currently in EU timezones. But we are looking to expand our US presence significantly in the future.

ZITADEL has a remote-only approach and we employ globally in almost all countries via an employer of record. We value output over time spent at the office, thus we offer you flexible hours and time off. Not even remote replaces social connections when you get together, thus we meet multiple times per year in person.
