About the Role

As ZITADEL's Marketing Director you will be developing and implementing compelling communication strategies that drive brand awareness amongst our developer target audience and help to increase market share.

You will plan our marketing strategy to support business growth, create meaningful campaigns, develop brand strategy, define marketing budgets, and analyze the market and competitors.As Marketing Director you will oversee and drive our marketing activities and work closely with other team members and freelancers to ensure we meet marketing objectives.

As ZITADEL's Marketing Director, you'll be the driving force behind our product messaging and go-to-market strategies.Your deep understanding of our customers, coupled with your marketing expertise, will shape how we communicate the unique value of our identity and access management solutions. You Will

  • Develop and implement marketing strategy
  • Analyse key marketing performance metrics and provide market and competitor insights
  • Adjust the marketing plan based on research and data to reach the desired target audiences
  • Provide tools and materials for driving product-led growth and the effective functioning of the sales team, including optimizing landing pages, websites and content
  • Advising on brand development
  • Identify new business opportunities and actionable marketing plans
  • Oversee and manage the marketing budget
  • Deliver and manage an overview of all marketing activities that drive awareness and sales
  • Oversee and coordinate with external agencies and contributors

You Have

  • Work experience in startups; any additional experience in larger companies is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proven experience as a Marketing Director, Marketing Manager, or similar
  • Technical expertise: Understanding of content writing and creation, improving and automating CRM, social media marketing, SEO/SEM, email marketing, paid advertising, funnel optimization
  • Experience in market analysis
  • Passion for cyber security or identity management
  • Ability to develop creative marketing concepts that resonate with developers
  • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
  • A good communicator with the confidence to provide expert professional advice

The annual anticipated compensation range for U.S. candidates for this role is $85,000 - $150,000. Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on different factors, such as qualifications, location, experience, or competencies. Compensation is one component of ZITADEL's total reward package, which can include stock options, commissions, health insurance, funds towards home office and professional development, and more. In order to provide greater transparency all salaries are accessible to all employees.

ZITADEL was founded in 2019 in Switzerland. Hundreds of customers rely on ZITADEL everyday as their identity platform. Our team consists of 11 people with most of our engineering currently in EU timezones. But we are looking to expand our US presence significantly in the future.

ZITADEL has a remote-only approach and we employ globally in almost all countries via an employer of record. We value output over time spent at the office, thus we offer you flexible hours and time off. Not even remote replaces social connections when you get together, thus we meet multiple times per year in person.
